Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Performance Physical Therapist? Our Performance Physical Therapists use a hybrid rehab and training model. As musculoskeletal experts, we are able to properly address injuries and progress beyond rehab in order to reduce the likelihood of future issues. This entails a more holistic approach using evidence-based treatment and training methods. No matter what sports or hobbies you enjoy, we can individualize your care to meet your specific needs and goals. We believe movement is medicine and aim to get you moving better safely and efficiently.

Do you accept Insurance? We are an out-of-network provider. Therefore we do not accept insurance. We operate as a cash-based practice. However, if you would like to self-submit to your insurance company for reimbursement, we are happy to provide a super bill with all the information needed for that. We do accept FSA and HSA cards for physical therapy sessions.

What are the benefits of cash-based physical therapy care? Few of the many benefits include: - Visits will always be one-on-one with a Doctor of Physical Therapy. You will never been seen by an assistant/aide or with another patient. - There is no visit limitation that insurances often place to limit care, regardless of patient need. - There will be no surprise bills. When going through insurance, coverage will vary based on individual insurance policies and sometimes insurance may decide after the fact that the patient owes more than just the co-pay. Less confusion and more clarity for patient-centered care. - We are able to treat multiple body parts within the same plan of care if needed, looking at the whole person instead of just one body part. - One-on-one care has shown to decrease total number of visits needed to achieve individual goals - decreasing overall cost. - If cost is your only barrier, please reach out via the contact form below or email mikehuynhdpt@gmail.com.

What is the difference between 'Physical Therapy' and 'Performance Training' services? Physical Therapy is for those who are currently recovering from an injury, pain, symptom, or surgery. Treatment may include (but not limited to) manual therapy, dry needling, blood flow restriction therapy, and therapeutic exercise. Whether you are looking for pre/post-surgical care, recovering from a muscle or ligament strain/sprain, or dealing with chronic low back pain or sciatica symptoms - Physical Therapy can help you! Performance Training is exercise-based sessions for the youth or professional athlete to active adult or weekend warrior - looking to improve quality of exercise or sport-specific performance. Individualized goals may include mobility, strength, power, speed, or longevity. If you are still unsure which service will fit your needs, fill out the contact form below or reach out via email mikehuynhdpt@gmail.com.
